Since February of this year, I am working as a consultant for digital education at the Carl von Ossietzky Universität in Oldenburg, Germany, at the Institute of Pedagogy. My expertise is in professional teacher development.
I am currently involved in designing new media courses on Bachelor and Master’s level, designing new software to create an efficient digital infrastructure, researching innovative constructivist (active learning) pedagogy and exploring new ways of cooperation between institutional actors. My mission is to define criteria for excellence in digital education. I was invited recently as an expert to the EU-Commission to develop new instruments advancing digital education for teachers and schools.
This is how, from now on, my blog will focus primarily on digital education and its societal transformation. Due to the recent death of my mother but also my move from Asia back to Europe, I have not been actively updating this blog recently. This is bound to change soon. For now, I like to thank my readers and I am grateful for your patience.
With Kindest Regards,
Joana Stella Kompa
