There is little point in commenting on Trump’s latest ever-changing escapades. Creating confusion is his trademark, and he has apparently lost his way in it. By now, it should have become blatantly clear to everyone, at least since Trump started trade wars with the rest of the world, that he is a mentally challenged individual, utterly incompetent to fulfill his duties as President of the United States of America. He is a bad fish, dragging America and the rest of the world down. Not quite everybody, though. China could not have asked for a better opportunity to overtake the United States in terms of technology and economic supremacy.

Trump is disobeying court orders, slashing budgets for humanitarian aid and education, wiping clean Wall Street, threatening universities by revoking freedom of speech and funding, attacking minorities’ and women’s rights and deporting people to foreign horror-jails without due process. Besides, he is making attempts to rewrite history by erasing and falsifying it. Fueled by his personal fiction as a king-like ruler, he promotes other incompetents such as Pete Hegseth and Robert Kennedy. Hegseth is a fantastic high-stake gambler in sharing classified information with journalists and family. Kennedy, on the other hand, shines as a perfect poser in attending the funeral service of a girl who just died from measles while still promoting his anti-vaxxer conspiracy theories. Musk’s Hitler-salute, Trump and J.D. Vance blaming Ukraine for Russia’s imperialist war… the Bizarro-Newspeak list goes on and on.

MAGA Americans might reconsider their idealized beliefs about Trump once politics hit voters’ wallets. Hard. Because when pension funds are wiped out and the US dollar slides into the danger-zone of losing its status as a global reserve currency, narcissist self-promotion is not funny anymore. Trump can keep dancing to ‘YMCA’, but the joke’s over. It is time for American voters, courts and authorities to let the bad fish go.

Here is what we Europeans think about him: Trump is mentally challenged individual and a dangerous convicted felon who made sure that America is no more a trusted friend. The ‘West’ is gone. America has fallen.

Will we buy American products? No, why should we? Standing with Canadians. Will we travel to the US? Hell no. We don’t want to end up as tourists in an American prison. Would we, right now, study in America? We are joking, aren’t we? I enjoyed great exchanges with Harvard though. Will we invest in America? Nope, not until a sound post-Trump investment landscape has been restored. Will we ever look up to America again? Depends. Reinstate DEI programs, restore legal equality for minorities as well as humanitarian aid and we can talk.

For sanity’s sake, just become American again. Be the best version of yourself, not the worst.

What lies ahead for Americans? Will a sold-out America become a Russian Republic by merging American and Russian oligarchies? Nothing seems impossible anymore. With the erosion of the public service sector — a prerequisite for any orderly governance — America is in real danger of regressing towards a failed state.

Oh, I forgot: feudal societies don’t need public service, just service for the king and noblemen. We can only hope that responsible Republicans will join the (so far) toothless and disappointing Democrats in making a stand and remove Trump from office.

America will not survive a full term of toxicity under a deranged madman. At this stage, the best option is damage-control.
